CM Revanth Reddy Appears Before the Nampally Court
In a case dating back to 2016, police had booked Revanth Reddy for allegedly holding a public meeting of ‘Nirudyogula Jana Jagarana’ at Osmania University in violation of rules.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy appeared before the Special Court for Public Representatives at Nampally on Saturday, in connection with multiple criminal cases registered against him when he was state Congress president during the previous BRS government tenure. The cases pertained to incidents registered at the Osmania University, Tirumalagiri, and Mattampally police stations.
In a case dating back to 2016, police had booked Revanth Reddy for allegedly holding a public meeting of ‘Nirudyogula Jana Jagarana’ at Osmania University in violation of rules. The cases from Tirumalagiri and Mattampally related to alleged violations in attending and conducting meetings.
During the proceedings, the Chief Minister was examined by the court under the Code of Criminal Procedure. He denied the allegations and asserted that the cases were politically motivated and filed under pressure from the previous regime.
The court completed the hearing in respect of all three cases and adjourned the matter to February 4 for further hearing or pronouncement of orders.
