Will Resolve Issues Related To LB Nagar Lands Under GO No 118: Revanth

G.O. Ms. No. 118 regularizes long-standing disputed land occupations for low- and middle-income families across 44 identified colonies in Hyderabad, including a major share in the LB Nagar constituency. LB Nagar (36 colonies), with others spread across Medchal, Rajendar Nagar, Karwan, Nampally, and Jubilee Hills. People have been raising issues with their land regularization since the year 2007.

Revanth Reddy further stated that the freehold and Bhoodan land problems within the limits of Secunderabad would also be sorted out.

While speaking about the contentious issue of Section 22 A of the Land Registration Act, the Chief Minister also briefed the House on the comprehensive guidelines and transparent procedures established for lands under the prohibited list. He stated that the government was working toward a permanent solution to land-related issues associated with Section 22A and had identified 12 key issues, including clear criteria and legal procedures for adding lands to, and removing lands from, the prohibited list.

A verification process involving RDOs/Sub-Collectors, with notices issued through e-KYC or registered post, and a 15-day objection period for landholders.

An appeals process through Joint Collectors (60 days), with provision for Revision Petitions to the Government (90 days).

Complete digitisation of land records on the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) portal to eliminate manual tampering and safeguard citizens' rights.

The Chief Minister said a high-powered committee would be constituted to resolve these 12 major issues, and that the government would move forward with a clearly defined policy specifying which lands should be included under Section 22A.

He also noted that steps had already been taken to address public grievances, including the setting up of a toll-free helpline. He further assured that land survey numbers and pattadar (landholder) details would be identified clearly and accurately as part of the process.
