CM Revanth Launches Several Development Works in Narayanpet District

Revanth also inaugurated academic blocks of the medical college, built at a cost of Rs 56 crore.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched the construction of 72,045 Indiramma houses for the poor in the first phase across Telangana, apart from development works, during his visit to Narayanpet district on Friday.

As part of the Indiramma housing scheme, the state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to each beneficiary to construct their own homes in phases. The first installment of Rs 1 lakh will be credited to the beneficiary's bank account upon completion of the basement, with the remaining amount disbursed as and how the construction progresses.

Reddy laid foundation stones for several infrastructure projects including for the construction of Narayanpet government medical college and hostel at a cost of Rs 130 crore; Young India integrated residential schools complex, costing Rs 200 crore; government nursing college worth Rs 26 crore and a 100-bed unit costing Rs 40 crore.

He also inaugurated academic blocks of the medical college, built at a cost of Rs 56 crore.

The Chief Minister laid the foundation of the Tunkimetla-Narayanpet road and Kothakonda-Maddur road at a cost of Rs 296 crore and launched the construction of high-level bridges on Appakapalle-Gundamal road and Maddur-Lingalched road.

Revanth Reddy launched road development projects, including Kalburagi(Gulbarga)-Kodangal, Ravulapalli-Maddur, and Kosgi-Daulatabad stretches, at a cost of Rs 193 crore. A foundation stone laid for CRR (construction of rural roads) roads in Narayanpet constituency, costing Rs 12.70 crore.

He inaugurated Dhanwada and Narayanpet rural police station buildings, built at a cost of Rs 5.58 crore; opened Marikal mandal parishad office complex, constructed at a cost of Rs. 7 crore; inaugurated a petrol pump run by zilla mahila samakhya of Women SHGs, valued at Rs 1.23 crore.

Reddy also interacted with students of the government medical college.

"The establishment of this medical college is a testament to the sincerity of the Congress government, which is committed to developing infrastructure in the new medical college for the benefit of students," Reddy said.

Referring to Dr B.R. Ambedkar, he noted, "Ambedkar said that development is achieved only when the benefits of welfare schemes reach the needy. The Congress MLAs are fully aware of people’s needs, and the government is at the forefront of making education accessible to the poor."

Meanwhile, he said that the medical college would be named after Chittem Narsi Reddy.

"Naming this medical college after him is a fitting tribute to Narsi Reddy, who served people of this region for over 50 years."
