CM Revanth Challenges KCR to Assembly Debate on Kaleshwaram Project

Reddy added the government will let him oversee its repairs for three years.

HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has thrown a direct challenge to BRS chief and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), inviting him for a comprehensive debate on the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project in the state assembly.

Expressing readiness to convene the assembly at KCR's earliest convenience, Revanth Reddy urged the opposition leader to write to the Speaker to finalise the dates for a joint session.

The Chief Minister added a significant condition to his challenge, stating that if KCR could convincingly explain why the project should be handed over to him, the current government would officially task him with overseeing the project's repair works for the next three years. Assuring a fair and respectful environment, Revanth Reddy promised that the government would ensure the assembly sessions run smoothly without compromising KCR's dignity.
