CM Decision on Metro Costing Rs 2 Cr a Day: Vivekanand
He said a huge question mark now hung over the future of Metro Rail, and the Chief Minister was passing time by writing letters to the Centre.

Hyderabad:BRS Legislature Party whip and Quthbullapur MLA K.P. Vivekanand Goud on Tuesday said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s rush to take over the Hyderabad Metro Rail from L&T was costing the state government Rs 2 crore a day, and demanded an explanation on what steps were being taken after his talks at the Centre on the Metro Rail takeover issue.
Addressing a press meet, Vivekanand said: “Whether it is setting up of HYDRAA, Metro Rail, the HILT policy, or Musi clean up, every decision is resulting in destruction of one type or another.” He said a huge question mark now hung over the future of Metro Rail, and the Chief Minister was passing time by writing letters to the Centre.
Had the Chief Minister been serious about Metro Rail, he would not have cancelled the proposed Rayadurgam to RGI Airport line. Because of his decisions, even the operations of existing Metro Rail services are heading into trouble, Goud said.
