Civic Issues Raised at One Ward Every Day Programme in Suraram
Residents highlighted key requirements, including improvement of roads, CC roads and storm water drains
Hyderabad: Complaints relating to better civic amenities pour in during one ward every day programme convened by the Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner (CMC) G Srijana in Suraram Colony here on Tuesday.
As part of the One Ward Every Day programme, the Commissioner, along with the Zonal Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and officials from various departments, visited Suraram ward and interacted with Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) and residents to review local civic issues and development priorities.
During the interaction, residents highlighted key requirements, including improvement of roads, CC roads and internal infrastructure, Storm water drains, UGD and drinking water supply, streetlights and high mast lights at identified locations in addition to park development and protection of open spaces.
Removal of encroachments and strengthening sanitation services, traffic management, speed breakers and public safety measures, community facilities, graveyard development and maintenance of public amenities were also discussed.
The Commissioner asked the departments concerned to inspect the issues on priority, prepare necessary estimates wherever required and take up works in a phased manner for timely resolution.
