CISF Conducts Passing Out Parade in Hyderabad, Inducts 200 Trained Officers

Of the 200 officers completing training, 76 were Assistant Commandants — including five women officers — selected through the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) CAPF (AC) examination

Hyderabad: The National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted the passing out parade of the 39th Batch of Assistant Commandants and the 19th Batch of Sub-Inspectors (Ex-Servicemen) at its campus in Hakimpet here on Saturday marking the formal induction of 200 trained officers into the Force's operational fold.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Shiv Pratap Shukla, Governor of Telangana, as Chief Guest, along with Director General, CISF, Praveer Ranjan, including other senior officers of CISF, and state civil and police dignitaries.

Of the 200 officers completing training, 76 were Assistant Commandants — including five women officers — selected through the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) CAPF (AC) Examination, while 124 Sub-Inspectors (Ex-Servicemen) completed a focused professional development course.

The dikshant parade was led by Parade Commander Assistant Commandant Manish Kumar Rai and Parade-II in charge Sushiri Roshni Devi, with the marching contingents displaying exemplary drill and discipline. Sumit Lathwal was adjudged All Round Best and conferred the coveted Sword of Honour.

Speaking on the occasion, Shiv Pratap Shukla said: "Today's parade is an inspiring display of discipline, dedication and professional excellence. CISF has become a strong and reliable pillar of India's security architecture and a guardian of the nation's economic progress and public trust. The stars on your shoulders signify not rank alone — they stand for trust, responsibility and unwavering duty. Lead by character, honesty, courage and example."

Praveer Ranjan added: "The discipline and professionalism of this force is commendable. CISF today secures over 359 locations across the country, and we are committed to building a future-ready, technology-enabled Force capable of meeting every emerging security challenge."

Highlighting the Force's ongoing transformation, the Director General noted that RTC Behror has been designated as a Remote Pilot Training Centre of Excellence by MHA, and the 10th Reserve Battalion, Bengaluru developed as a dedicated centre for Mahila Commando and QRT Training.

A Battle Hardening Programme conducted jointly with the Indian Army and NSG has trained 2,643 personnel, and in 2025–26, over 4,500 personnel have been trained to enhance operational efficiency, while 1,600 Cyber Commandos have been equipped for cybersecurity warfare.

The MoUs with NIT, NFSU and IIT Madras for cyber training and capacity building, and with IIDM Kancheepuram for emerging technology and advanced cyber research, further strengthen the force's technical edge.

The NISA Hyderabad has emerged as an international capacity building centre of excellence, with officers from Sri Lanka and Nepal attending courses on infrastructure protection and border security, strengthening regional cooperation.

Over 2,000 personnel from state police academies and state industrial security forces have attended 24 specialised courses in industrial security, close protection and response techniques, and 45 officers have completed specialised RSO training.

The Bihar government's allotment of 110 acres at Kisanganj for the 7th Regional Training Centre marks a significant expansion of CISF's training infrastructure.

The Assistant Commandants underwent an intensive 57-week training programme covering Industrial Security Management, Aviation Security, Disaster Management, VIP Security, Urban Operations, Jungle Warfare and Advanced Weapon Handling.

The Sub-Inspector (Ex-Servicemen) batch completed a 21-week course designed to sharpen professional knowledge and operational capabilities. Both programmes were delivered under the Competency-Based Training (CBT) methodology, with emphasis on leadership, decision-making and readiness for complex security environments.
