Cisco Supports Telangana’s Skill University
The meeting also deliberated on further action plans under the company’s MoU with the state signed last year.

Hyderabad:Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy-led ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation engaged in forward-looking discussions with Cisco’s global leadership during WEF 2026. The delegation assured full cooperation in Cisco’s future plans for Telangana, emphasising that the state has earned its reputation as an economic powerhouse and a dynamic hub for industrial growth. Guy Diedrich, Senior Vice President and Global Innovation Officer at Cisco, met the delegation during WEF 2026 in Davos on Wednesday.
Diedrich expressed delight over the progress made since the signing of the MoU between TASK and YISU in March 2025. “TASK is a very forward-thinking and aggressive initiative. The talent in Telangana is unmatched,” he said.
In March 2025, Cisco signed multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Telangana government’s Young India Skills University (YISU) and the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK). The MoUs were aimed at strengthening digital skilling and workforce development in areas such as networking, cybersecurity and emerging technologies.
Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said, “Telangana is positioning itself as a globally competitive, future-ready hub for investment, innovation and talent.” He added that the state stands at the forefront of progressive policies and visionary initiatives.
The meeting also deliberated on further action plans under the company’s MoU with the state signed last year. Cisco had, in March 2025, signed MoUs with YISU and TASK to significantly expand digital skills training through its Networking Academy (NetAcad), with a focus on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and networking, to boost youth employability in the state. The MoUs aim to provide job-ready skills to students and government employees.
