Chiryala Case: Rehab Owner Arrested
Officials said further investigation was in progress to identify additional lapses at the centre and to ascertain if more staff members were involved in the incident.

Hyderabad: Keesara police on Tuesday arrested Bhanu, the owner of Jyoti Rehabilitation Centre in Chiryala in connection with the recent of death of a patient at the facility. Bhanu was produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody, officials confirmed.
The case came to light in Keesara police station limits when a drunken brawl took place in which one of the inmates, Krishna died. Preliminary investigations pointed to negligence and physical abuse at the centre, leading to the registration of a case.
While one of the accomplices, Swamy was arrested on Tuesday, Bhanu was arrested on Wednesday and the duo was sent to judicial remand in Wednesday.
Meanwhile, efforts are underway to trace Khayyum, a key accused in the case. A special team was dispatched to his native place in Kamareddy district but he was not found there. Police are now searching at other possible hideouts and have intensified the manhunt.
