Chevella DCP Issues Key Safety Guidelines for Ganesh Pandal Organisers
Organisers were asked to register pandal, idol and immersion details through the designated Telangana police portal
Hyderabad: Chevella Deputy Commissioner of Police, Yogesh Gautam advised Ganesh pandal organisers to obtain the required permissions and strictly follow safety, traffic and public-convenience guidelines during the Ganesh festival celebrations.
Organisers were asked to register pandal, idol and immersion details through the designated Telangana police portal and secure necessary approvals from the concerned departments. He stressed proper electrical wiring, fire-safety arrangements, CCTV cameras, emergency exits and deployment of volunteers.
The pandals should not obstruct traffic, and special attention should be given to the safety of women, children and senior citizens. Sound systems must be used within permissible limits. Loudspeakers should not be used after 10 pm, and DJs should not be installed at Ganesh pandals.
Police-prescribed immersion routes and timings must also be followed. Every pandal should maintain a point book with proper entries, and any suspicious person or object should immediately be reported to the police or Dial 100.
Yogesh Gautam assured necessary police bandobast and sought cooperation from organisers.
