Khammam:Congress leaders on Saturday staged a protest at the old bus stand centre in Khammam, burning effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump over the deportation of 104 Indians from the United States.
At the demonstration, Telangana State Warehouse Corporation chairman Rayala Nageswar Rao condemned the BJP government for failing to uphold India's international self-respect. Rao strongly criticised Modi for remaining silent on the incident, alleging that the US government handcuffed 104 Indians and transported them to India via a military aircraft. He urged the Centre to support those affected by what he described as a "heinous act."
