Centre Confers IPS Status on Seven Non-Cadre SPs in Telangana

Hyderabad:The Centre has conferred IPS status to seven non-cadre superintendent of police (SP) level officers posted in Telangana. The Union home ministry issued an official order to the DGP and the state government with effect on Tuesday.

The decision was taken by the Union home ministry after examining the proposals sent by the state police department and based on their service and performance.
