Hyderabad: The Telangana government has approved the integration of Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste Management Provisions into the BuildNow platform to curb illegal dumping and ensure proper disposal.
The move follows government directions to departments to prevent indiscriminate dumping of C&D waste.
Under the new system, applicants will have to make a mandatory declaration on C&D waste management while applying for building permission. Projects covered by the rules will also have to submit a C&D Waste Management Plan as prescribed by the government.
