A footage collected from the surveillance camera installed near her house helped the police to zero in on the students

Hyderabad: The Nalgonda police unraveled the mystery behind the murder of a school Principal Rupa Reddy with the detention of two school students. A footage collected from the surveillance camera installed near her house helped the police to zero in on the students.
Forty-eight-year-old Kallu Roopa Reddy was found murdered at her house with 27 stab wounds at her house at JB Colony in mandal headquarters. She was the principal of Nagarjuna Public School in Kondamallepally and lived with her husband, Rajender Reddy. The incident occurred when he was in Hyderabad in connection with some work, according to police.
After the incident, the police questioned more than 50 persons including her husband but could not arrive at a conclusion. However, a close examination of the footage collected from the CCTV near her house gave them a clue in which a teenager was found to be loitering near her house.
Based on the clue, the police picked him up and grilled. The suspect then admitted to the crime stating that the offence was committed for the sake of money. Moreover, the suspect bore a grudge against the Principal for terminating from the school by issuing a transfer certificate.
