HYDERABAD: The Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Hyderabad, took its Har Ghar Tiranga programme onto the streets of Hitec City on Wednesday, as schoolchildren joined a one‑kilometre rally, sang Vande Mataram and later attended a folk and patriotic music concert at the CCRT campus.
About 750 schoolchildren, escorted by teachers, participated along with CCRT officials and staff. The gathering included 78 CCRT‑trained teachers from 13 states, while students came from seven Hyderabad schools.
The programme began at the CCRT Regional Centre, where children assembled at the Open‑Air Amphitheatre and sang the full version of Vande Mataram, with bilingual Telugu‑English printouts provided. The Tiranga rally then moved through Hitec City, with children carrying the Tricolour and raising slogans. CCRT consultant Y. Chandrasekhar and field officer Soundarya Kaushik led the march.
Back on campus, students attended a Tiranga Concert by Dr Linga Srinivas and his troupe of folk artists. The performance featured Telangana folk music, patriotic songs and themes of Independence, cultural heritage and Har Ghar Tiranga.
