CBSE Helpline to Beat Exam Stress Goes Live

The service offers practical guidance on stress-free preparation, time and stress management, responses to frequently asked questions, and key CBSE contact information.

Hyderabad: Ahead of the board examinations, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday launched the first phase of its annual free psycho-social counselling services for Classes X and XII students. Students can dial 1800-118-004 to access round-the-clock support in Hindi and English through the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS).

The initiative aims to ease exam-related stress and support emotional well-being, helping students face their theory papers — scheduled to begin on February 17 —with confidence and clarity.

The service offers practical guidance on stress-free preparation, time and stress management, responses to frequently asked questions, and key CBSE contact information.

In addition, students and parents can interact with a panel of 73 trained professionals, including principals, counsellors, special educators from CBSE-affiliated schools, and qualified psychologists. Of these, 61 counsellors are based in India, while 12 are located in Nepal, Japan, Qatar, Oman and the UAE.

The CBSE has also uploaded resources on stress management, study strategies and emotional well-being to its website, www.cbse.gov.in. . Students and parents have been advised to make use of these services as part of the board’s efforts to support psycho-social well-being during the examination cycle.
