CAT allows Ronald Ross to stay in Telangana

During the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, Ross was initially allotted to Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad: In a relief to senior IAS officer Ronald Ross, the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) bench at Hyderabad, allowed his petition seeking directions to the DoPT and the state governments of Telangana and AP, to continue his service in Telangana.

In October 2024, the DoPT issued orders reallocating several IAS officers, including Ross, to Andhra Pradesh and directed him to report before AP state by 16 Oct 2024. At that time, when Ross approached the CAT challenging the DoPT orders, the CAT had refused to give any interim relief to him and kept pending his prayer.
