"We have registered a defamation case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and are investigating the matter": Rajendranagar inspector K. Kastro

HYDERABAD: The Rajendranagar police registered a case against Huzurabad BRS MLA P. Kaushik Reddy on Saturday for allegedly making defamatory remarks against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
According to Rajendranagar inspector K. Kastro, the complaint was filed by Rajendranagar Congress president Prabhakar Reddy, after Kaushik Reddy, during a press conference, alleged that the Chief Minister had not only tapped his and his wife’s phones but had also ordered surveillance on several Tollywood personalities, including actresses.
The BRS MLA further accused the Chief Minister of using intimidation tactics through illegal phone tapping, Kastro said. "We have registered a defamation case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and are investigating the matter," he added.
