Case Filed for Uploading CM Revanth Reddy's Fabricated Video

On June 6, while checking the reels on an Instagram link as part of his duty, cybercrime sub-inspector P. Jayaprakash found that the Chief Minister’s image had been morphed and it was posted on social media.

Hyderabad: A case was registered against some persons who digitally altered the image of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and posted a video wherein it was purportedly shown that the CM had given a speech, Cyberabad Cyber Crime Police has said.

On June 6, while checking the reels on an Instagram link as part of his duty, cybercrime sub-inspector P. Jayaprakash found that the Chief Minister’s image had been morphed and it was posted on social media.

It was learned that the video was created to mislead people as well as there was the possibility of disturbance to peace and security. Hence, a complaint was filed with the Cyber Crime Police Station demanding action against those who had uploaded the "doctored" post, police sources, said.
