Case Booked against 8 Colleges for Forging HYDRAA Chief’s Signature
The colleges that submitted the fake NoCs were located in Tellapur, Chikkadpally, SR Nagar, Mehdipatnam and Barkatpura.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police booked a case against eight educational institutions in twin cities for forging the signature of HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath to get fire NoC.
The HYDRAA is authorized to issue fire NoCs. These fake NoCs were submitted to the Board of Intermediate for obtaining academic affiliations and operational permissions. Of the 76 education institutions, eight of them were found to have submitted fake NoCs.
Based on a complaint lodged by HYDRAA Additional Director, the Lake police booked a case under Sections 337, 336(3), 340(2), 318(4) read with 3(5) of BNS. The colleges that submitted the fake NoCs were located in Tellapur, Chikkadpally, SR Nagar, Mehdipatnam and Barkatpura.
The forgery came to light when the District Intermediate Education Officers of Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Sangareddy districts forwarded a total number of 76 Fire NOCs to HYDRAA office for verification of genuineness which are submitted by the different junior colleges.
Upon verification, the HYDRAA found eight NOCs forged and a letter was addressed to the District Intermediate Education Officers concerned with a request to cancel the permission or affiliation of Junior Colleges which submitted forged fire NOCs.
