Carry Out Inspections at Major Flood-Prone And Waterlogging Areas
The Cyberabad police assured support for traffic regulation, emergency response and public safety management during the monsoon season

HYDERABAD: Top Cyberabad administration officials carried out a joint inspection of major flood-prone and waterlogging locations across the region on Tuesday as civic and police authorities stepped up monsoon preparedness measures.
Cyberabad municipal corporation commissioner G. Srijana and Cyberabad police commissioner Dr M. Ramesh reviewed vulnerable stretches including Malkam Cheruvu, the state election commission building near Khajaguda lake, university of Hyderabad and Kondapur, where water stagnation has been reported during heavy rainfall.
Officials from Kukatpally and Serilingampally zones, engineering wings and other departments participated in the inspection.
During the visit, authorities reviewed ongoing drainage improvement works, desilting operations and flood mitigation measures aimed at reducing water stagnation and traffic disruption during intense rain spells.
Officials were directed to speed up pre-monsoon works, improve coordination between departments and closely monitor vulnerable areas. The inspection also focused on improving stormwater drainage systems, removing bottlenecks affecting water flow and strengthening emergency response mechanisms in flood-prone locations.
