Car Hits Stationary Lorry on NH-44; One Dies, Two Injured
The Dichpally police are investigating the case. Traffic movement on NH-44 was disrupted for some time following the accident.
Nizamabad:One person was killed and two others were seriously injured in a road accident on NH-44 in Dichpally mandal on Thursday. According to Dichpally police, the accident occurred when a speeding car in which the victims were travelling hit the stationary DCM lorry near Dichpally. Reportedly, the victims did not identify the halted lorry on the highway and were hit from the rear.
One of the car occupants died on the spot, while two others sustained serious injuries. The deceased is identified as Paidipally Hojanna, a government teacher of Nirmal district. The victims returned from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to Nirmal after dropping their friend there.
Highway personnel shifted the injured to the Government General Hospital in Nizamabad. Police identified the deceased as a resident of Nirmal district and said he was a teacher.
