Cab Driver Dies by Suicide in Hayathnagar; Woman Booked for Abetment
Hayathnagar police registered a case under BNS Section 108 for abetment to suicide, after videos and material found in the deceased’s mobile phone allegedly pointed towards emotional distress linked to a woman.

Hyderabad: A 28-year-old cab driver died by allegedly suicide at his residence in Koheda, Hayathnagar police said. It is suspected that the victim, Pallapu Govardhan, was triggered by the depressiom linked to a failed relationship and uncertainty over the whereabouts of his child.Police said Govardhan returned home after completing a night shift on May 12 and locked himself inside his room at around 10.30 am. When he failed to come out even by evening, and his mobile phone remained switched off, family members checked on him and found his body.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, the inspector said Govardhan and the woman were reportedly in a live-in relationship and had a son. The couple broke up and she moved on.Police said there was uncertainty regarding the whereabouts of the child. The deceased had reportedly claimed that the woman sold the child, though investigators said there was no immediate evidence to substantiate the allegation and the matter was under inquiry. The inspector said the woman got married another person just a week ago.
Investigators suspect Govardhan may have been triggered by the news of her marriage and distress over not knowing the whereabouts of his son. Police seized the deceased’s mobile phone and sent it for forensic examination. Efforts were under way to trace the accused.
