Bypolls in Telangana Soon: Dr Laxman
Dr. K Laxman warns of MLA defections, criticizes Congress and BRS for governance failures, and urges support for BJP candidates.

Nalgonda: At a meeting on the Union Budget 2025-26 at the district party office, BJP MP Dr K Laxman warned that MLA defections could pose a major headache for the Congress government. He predicted that the upcoming MLC elections — comprising two teachers and one graduate MLC — would significantly impact state politics. He claimed both Congress and the Opposition BRS had lost faith in their supported candidates, noting that the BRS, after a decade in power, failed to field a candidate and described the teachers' MLC polls as “semi-final elections.”
He further asserted that the BJP was the only party committed to addressing issues affecting teachers and youth in the Telangana State Legislative Council, urging teachers to vote for BJP candidate Sarvotham Reddy in the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Teachers’ MLC elections.
In addition, he accused the previous BRS government of burdening Telangana with debt during its 10-year rule and alleged that current Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy was now seeking new loans from New Delhi. He also criticised the Congress government for its failure to pay retirement benefits, delay in processing five Dearness Allowance payments, and for denying private hospitals payment under the Employees Health Scheme, blaming both administrations for neglecting the interests of state employees.
