Hyderabad:A group of homebuyers has filed a complaint with the Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) against Sahithi Constructions Ltd and landowners over the delay in the Sahiti Nirupama housing project in Tellapur. Despite paying large amounts for their flats, the buyers allege that construction has not even started, nor have they received any refunds.
They approached RERA for help, are asking the builder to complete the project or return their money with interest, along with compensation for the delay. Some buyers also accused the developer of fraud and said they had filed police complaints. The builder is facing criminal cases and has been arrested, which has further delayed the project.
The landowners and others involved denied any wrongdoing. They said they had trusted the builder and were unaware of any fraud. Some have claimed that they were victims too and that the buyers had not provided enough proof.
