Businessman among 5 Held in Bike Theft Cases in Cyberabad
The police seized 22 bikes all worth Rs.42 lakh from the possession of the arrested persons

Hyderabad: Five persons including a businessman were arrested in connection with vehicle theft cases in Kukatpally and its surroundings.
The arrested persons have been identified as Gollapally Sridhar (26), electrician, Midde Veera Kousik Goud (21), Katta Manikanta (20) and Guthula Srinivas (28), all working as AC technicians, and Shaik Nagur Vali (25), a businessman.
While Sridhar, Goud, Manikanta and Srinivas were residents of Kukatpally, Vali was from Guntur district.
On August 24, unknown offenders came to a wine shop at Jagadgirigutta and committed theft of a bike belonging to the complainant Gafoor Raja, a software engineer and resident of Kukatpally Housing Board Colony (KPHB).
Based on his complaint, the police booked a case and took up investigation. While checking vehicles in Jagadgirigutta police station limits, the police intercepted Sridhar, who was driving a bike without a number plate.
After being grilled, Sridhar had confessed that he had committed theft of a KTM bike apart from other bikes in the limits of KPHB, Borabanda and Allapur police station limits with his associates Goud, Manikanta, Srinivas and sold a few bikes to Vali, a receiver.
The police seized 22 bikes all worth Rs.42 lakh from the possession of the arrested persons, according to Balanagar Division Assistant Commissioner of Police P Naresh Reddy.
