Burglars Loot Gold, Cash in Habeebnagar
The intruders broke the main door latch and ransacked cupboards in the early hours of Wednesday

Hyderabad:Burglars struck at businessman Shaik Akbar Mohiuddin’s house in Habeebnagar while he and his family were away on Umrah. The miscreants are reported to have escaped with 20 tolas of gold, 15 tolas of silver ornaments and ₹21 lakh in cash.
The intruders broke the main door latch and ransacked cupboards in the early hours of Wednesday. Habeebnagar police, along with CLUES teams and fingerprint experts, collected evidence. Efforts are on to identify the burglars through CCTV footage. A special team has been formed to probe the case.
Applications invited for part‑time teachers

Raghavender Reddy takes over as DCP Golconda
Hyderabad:J. Raghavender Reddy on Wednesday assumed charge as deputy commissioner of police (DCP), Golconda Zone.

Major Gen. Srinivas assumes command of TASA
Hyderabad:Major General G. Srinivas on Wednesday assumed command as General Officer Commanding (GOC), Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA). He paid homage at the War Memorial before taking charge.
An alumnus of NDA Khadakwasla and IMA Dehradun, he was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery in 1990. A graduate of the National Defence College, he holds MPhils in defence and security studies and in management studies.
In a career spanning 35 years, he has held key command, staff and instructional roles, including UN service in Congo, Brigade command in a strike formation, and Chief Instructor at the School of Artillery. As Major General (Operational Logistics) on the Western Front, he ensured readiness during Op SINDOOR.
In his last tenure as Commandant of the College of Defence Management, Secunderabad, he oversaw the Higher Defence Management Course. As GOC TASA, he will oversee administration, infrastructure, veterans’ welfare and military‑civil synergy in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Malkajgiri commissioner reviews sanitation wards
Hyderabad:Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation commissioner T. Vinay Krishna Reddy on Wednesday inspected Mansoorabad and Kuntloor wards, reviewing sanitation, road margins, mosquito breeding points and public health measures.
He interacted with residents of Sahara Estates, stressing community participation in cleanliness. Instructions included timely lifting of Garbage Vulnerable Points, intensifying sanitation across major roads, and deploying additional waste collection vehicles in newly merged ULB areas.
The MMC said it continues to strengthen sanitation services through proactive monitoring and citizen‑focused governance.
