BTech Student Of PJTAU Dies By Suicide
His roommates told police he went to his room around 8.30 pm and locked himself up. Around 9.30 pm, when they went to the room, they found him not opening the door: Reports

HYDERABAD: A 21-year-old BTech student from Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agriculture University (PJTAU) in Rajendranagar, allegedly died by suicide around 9.30pm on Tuesday. According to Rajendranagar police, deceased Ruthwik Raj, who was studying in the third year, was a native of Khammam and residing at the university’s hostel. His roommates told police he went to his room around 8.30 pm and locked himself up. Around 9.30 pm, when they went to the room, they found him not opening the door. Later, they got the door broke open and found him dead. The university authorities were informed immediately, who in turn informed the police.
Ruthwik’s body was shifted to Osmania hospital mortuary for postmortem examination and later handed over to his family. His father, who is a government employee and resides in LB Nagar, has lodged a complaint with the police, based on which, a case was registered under Section 194 of the BNSS. Officials said while the father of the deceased said he did not know the reason behind the suicide, but his friends said he had three backlogs and as he was upset about that, and he might have taken the extreme step due to this. Further investigation is underway.
