BRS Stages Protests Over Congress’ 420 Promises, Six Guarantees
Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar accused the Congress of making false promises.

Karimnagar: Opposition BRS on Wednesday staged a demonstration alleging that the ruling Congress party has failed to fulfil its 420 promises and six guarantees even after 1,000 days in office.
As part of the party’s week-long state-wide protest, BRS leaders and activists gathered at the Telangana Chowk in Karimnagar on Wednesday, displaying a long flexi listing the 420 promises made by the congress party.
Speaking on the occasion, Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar accused the Congress of making false promises. Stating that no section of people is happy in Telangana, he said the Congress had promised to protect interests of the farming community, but put an end to the Rythu Bima scheme.
“It promised to provide financial assistance for the marriage of poor women, but has stalled the Kalyanalaxmi scheme,” the MLA charged. He went on to enumerate that while students have been denied fee reimbursement, retired employees are not getting their retirement benefits. Further, Scooties had been promised to women but not a single Scooty has been allotted so far, he alleged.
Kamalakar said the BRS will continue its fight on behalf of the people till the state government implements all its promises made to the people.
