BRS Seeks Probe Into MP’s Land, Mining Deals
Krishank alleged that black granite mining was being carried out on assigned lands: BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank

HYDERABAD: BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank has demanded a judicial inquiry into land transfers and mining operations allegedly involving government adviser and Congress MP Vem Narender Reddy. He accused the MP of misusing the government’s digital land records platform, Bhu Bharati, to illegally acquire assigned lands in Mahbubabad district. Krishank claimed that properties were being registered under the name of Narender Reddy’s son, Vem Krishna Bhargav Reddy.
Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday, Krishank alleged that black granite mining was being carried out on assigned lands. He pointed to plots belonging to SC/ST beneficiaries in Arpanpally village, Kesamudram mandal, which he said were transferred into Bhargav Reddy’s name. Around 15 acres of assigned land were being used for mining operations through Sri Sai Krishna Granites, a firm registered in the name of Narender Reddy’s wife, Vem Vijayalakshmi, he alleged.
Presenting copies of land passbooks, survey details, mining records and election affidavits, Krishank questioned how prohibited lands were converted and registered despite clear legal restrictions. He noted that these properties did not appear in earlier affidavits filed by Narender Reddy during past elections, surfacing only in recent disclosures after the Congress government came to power.
Krishank demanded immediate cancellation of the transfers and restoration of the lands to rightful beneficiaries. He also sought action against officials who approved ownership changes and mining permissions. The BRS, he said, would pursue legal remedies, including approaching the Lokayukta, filing Public Interest Litigation, and submitting complaints to relevant authorities.
