BRS MLA Throws Water Bottles At Congress Leader

ADILABAD: Asifabad BRS MLA Kova Laxmi hurled water bottles at Congress assembly in-charge Shyam Naik during a ration card distribution meeting in Janakapur village, Komaram Bheem Asifabad district, on Thursday.
Laxmi became furious when Naik accused the previous BRS government of failing to distribute ration cards and quality rice to beneficiaries. Their ensuing argument disrupted the meeting, and, in a fit of rage, the MLA threw water bottles at the Congress leader. Supporters rushed to intervene and shield Naik, who later condemned her conduct as “unfortunate.”
Naik also accused Kova Laxmi of misrepresenting her educational qualifications, claiming she completed her SSC despite declaring herself illiterate in past election affidavits. “I cannot behave like her; I am an educated person,” he said. He urged the BRS leadership to seek her resignation and called on the state government to take appropriate action.
