BRS Diverting Public Attention From Phone-Tapping: Congress

He claimed that Harish Rao was deliberately misleading the public by linking the current investigation with a separate case that had already been quashed.

Hyderabad:The Congress on Wednesday accused the BRS leadership of indulging in theatrics to divert public attention from the ongoing phone-tapping probe.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Sama Rammohan Reddy, chairman of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Media and Communications Committee, alleged that former ministers T. Harish Rao and K.T. Rama Rao were resorting to diversionary tactics to shift focus away from the probe.

He claimed that Harish Rao was deliberately misleading the public by linking the current investigation with a separate case that had already been quashed. Challenging him, Rammohan Reddy dared Harish Rao to publicly state whether his own phone had not been tapped during the previous BRS regime. He further said the investigation should be expanded to include K. Chandrashekar Rao and K.T. Rama Rao to expose the full extent of the alleged phone-tapping operation.
