Brawl Over Auto Parking Ends Up In Innocent’s Murder

According to Tolichowki station house officer L. Ramesh Naik, the victim Md Irfan tried to stop the quarrel between his elder brother Md Adnan and another driver, Md Bilal.

Hyderabad: The quarrel over a parking spot in the autorickshaw at the stand resulted in the death of 22-year-old driver, who had intervened in a fight between his elder brother and another driver, at Paramount Colony, Tolichowki, on Sunday night.

According to Tolichowki station house officer L. Ramesh Naik, the victim Md Irfan tried to stop the quarrel between his elder brother Md Adnan and another driver, Md Bilal.

Police said Bilal pushed Adnan aside and stabbed Irfan multiple times with a dagger. Locals rushed Irfan to a private hospital, where the doctors after examination declared him brought dead, police said.

Apart from the parking issue Bilal allegedly believed that Bilal was spreading rumuors about his wife going in an auto with two strangers, police said. The victim’s body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary and handed over to his family members for last rites on Monday.

Cops trace NRI’s lost baggage in 3 hours

Hyderabad: The RGIA Outpost police traced and returned a lost backpack containing three laptops worth approximately ₹2.5 lakh to a US citizen within three hours of receiving a complaint.

According to inspector Kanakaiah S., the complainant, identified as Seshu Gudlavalleti, reported that he had lost his backpack at the Shamshabad airport. Upon receiving the complaint, the RGIA Outpost staff immediately initiated verification of CCTV footage across the airport premises to track the movement of the bag.

Police said the backpack was traced within a short span of time and handed over to the complainant after verification of ownership and contents.

The complainant expressed his happiness and thanked the police for their prompt action and professionalism. He also appreciated the efforts of the Inspector and the entire RGIA Outpost team for ensuring the safe recovery of his belongings.

Inspector Kanakaiah Sampathi said timely coordination and effective surveillance helped resolve the complaint efficiently.

Hyderabad: Director General of Prisons Dr Soumya Mishra on Monday inaugurated a biometric attendance system, the Swagatham Visitors Portal, and a visitors’ lounge at Jail Bhavan.

Dr Mishra said the portal was designed to provide a structured, transparent and convenient appointment system for visitors seeking to meet officers at Jail Bhavan.

Dr Mishra appreciated the efforts of officers and staff involved in conceptualising and implementing the initiatives and expressed confidence that the new systems and facilities would be used effectively, ethically and responsibly.
