‘Boundary Restricted’ Error Hits Bhadrachalam Self-Enumeration
The self-enumeration process, launched on April 26 through the official portal, was intended to enable residents to submit household data online: Reports

NALGONDA: Residents of Bhadrachalam in Bhadradri Kothagudem district have reported inability to complete online self-enumeration, with the portal displaying a “boundary restricted” message indicating the area as outside Telangana.
The self-enumeration process, launched on April 26 through the official portal, was intended to enable residents to submit household data online. Residents said the issue was noticed on the first day and brought to the attention of officials, who had assured resolution within two days. However, the error persisted on Monday.
The issue arises in the backdrop of the reorganisation of Andhra Pradesh, under which seven mandals, Kukunoor, Velairpadu, Burgampadu, Chintoor, Kunavaram, Vararamachandrapuram, and five-gram panchayats of Bhadrachalam mandal were merged with Andhra Pradesh, while Bhadrachalam town remained in Telangana.
Residents from areas including Shanthi Nagar, Conductors Colony and localities near the Bhadrachalam bridge reported similar issues. They expressed concern that the town continues to be shown under Andhra Pradesh in online maps and said representations to officials had not yielded results.
Some residents apprehended exclusion from state welfare schemes if enumeration deadlines were enforced. A resident said he was unable to complete the process despite multiple attempts, with the same error message appearing after OTP-based login.
Bhadrachalam tahsildar Dhanyala Venkateswarlu said the issue had been conveyed to the technical team through the district administration and would be resolved.
He added that enumerators would conduct door-to-door surveys from May 11, during which residents could update details if required.
Officials said those not present during the survey may face difficulties in updating their information.
