Bodies Of Two Telugus Killed In Dubai Repatriated To Nirmal And Jagtial

The bodies reached cargo facility centre in Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad

Hyderabad: The two bodies of Astapu Premsagar and Sargam Srinivas, who were killed by a Pakistani man in Dubai a few days ago, were repatriated to their native places in Nirmal and Jagtial districts, respectively on Saturday morning.

After bodies reached the cargo facility centre in Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad, the NRI Advisory Committee members paid tributes and sent to the native places in Nirmal and Jagtial districts in separate ambulances after completing formalities at the cargo centre.

The bodies came to RGIA in an Emirates flight at 10 am, said N Devender Reddy, one of the committee members. One more person Degam Sagar from Nizamabad, and another Telugu worker suffered injuries in the incident.

Reddy said the State government announced an ex-gratia of Rs.5 lakh each to the bereaved family members. Following directions from Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the State government has decided to provide a job on outsourcing basis to one of the family members of the victims.

Reddy said Telangana government in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and the consulate in Dubai took necessary steps to bring bodies to the State without much delay.

The victims and the accused worked in Modern Bakery in Dubai for the last few years. The Pakistani accused attacked the victims due to work pressure, communal hatred and arguments over the recent Waqf Amendment Bill, according to reports.
