BJP’s Two New BJP MLCs Take Oath

Before proceeding to the Assembly, the two BJP leaders paid floral tributes at the statue of Dr B. R. Ambedkar at Tank Bund and the Martyrs Memorial.

Hyderabad: Two newly-elected BJP MLCs — Malka Komaraiah and C. Anji Reddy — took oath at the Legislative Council Chairman’s chamber in the Assembly. Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy administered the oath of office on Monday in the presence of senior party leaders. Union minister for coal and mines G. Kishan Reddy, Rajya Sabha MP Dr K. Laxman and legislative affairs minister D. Sridhar Babu were present. Sridhar Babu welcomed the new MLCs with bouquets.

Before proceeding to the Assembly, the two BJP leaders paid floral tributes at the statue of Dr B. R. Ambedkar at Tank Bund and the Martyrs Memorial. Speaking on the occasion, senior BJP leader P.L. Srinivas described the event as a memorable day for the party, stating that the swearing-in of two BJP MLCs in the Assembly reflects the party’s growing stature in Telangana. He said the BJP continues to expand its footprint across all sections of society and the latest victories are a testament to its emergence as a formidable alternative political force in the state.
