BJP Will Sweep MLC Polls: Kishan, Bandi
Kishan Reddy accuses Congress of financial mismanagement; Bandi Sanjay opposes BC quota for Muslims.

Hyderabad: Union minister for coal and mines G. Kishan Reddy accused the Congress governments in Telangana, Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka of corruption and administrative failure, claiming that they are struggling even to pay government employees' salaries. He criticised the Telangana government for failing to fulfill its electoral guarantees and sub-guarantees, adding that it has not even ensured basic governance to meet people's needs.
Speaking to reporters in Medak, Kishan Reddy predicted that the upcoming MLC election results would reshape the state's political landscape. He claimed the BJP would win all three seats, strengthening the party and putting pressure on the Congress to fulfill its promises.
"Intellectuals, teachers, unemployed youth, farmers, farm laborers and women are disillusioned with the Congress government, which has failed to deliver its lofty promises. The State’s economy is in crisis and the government is unable to provide pensions to retired employees or release the five pending dearness allowances (DAs) for staff," he said.
Meanwhile, Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that all pre-poll surveys indicate a clear victory for BJP-backed candidates in the MLC elections. Addressing BJP workers at a Pachhis Prabhari (one in-charge for every 25 voters) meeting in Peddapalli, he urged them to demonstrate their strength in the elections.
Bandi Sanjay also reiterated the BJP’s strong opposition to including Muslims in the BC category. "We have our own traditions, gotras, birth names and customs. We wear 'moli' (sacred thread). How can Muslims be included in the Hindu BC list? On one hand, they claim the BC population is shrinking and on the other, they promise 42 per cent reservations, with 10 per cent allocated to Muslims. This is a betrayal of the BC community," he said.
