BJP To Hold Padayatra Against Congress Narrative
Similar rallies are planned in five major cities across the state. Karimnagar and Siddipet have been finalised for November 4 and 5 respectively, with senior national leaders expected to attend.

Hyderabad:BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao on Friday announced that the party will organise a padayatra in the city on November 1 with the participation of 50,000 people, under the slogan “Lok Tantra Bachav – Arachakata Hatav”, to counter what he termed the Congress’s “false and misleading narrative” on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Similar rallies are planned in five major cities across the state. Karimnagar and Siddipet have been finalised for November 4 and 5 respectively, with senior national leaders expected to attend. Union minister Smriti Irani has been tentatively finalised as chief guest for the Karimnagar rally.
Addressing mediapersons at the state party office, Rao launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing him of ignoring drought‑like conditions and acute water shortages for irrigation and drinking in several districts, while prioritising frequent visits to Delhi. “Revanth is eulogising Rahul Gandhi as the next Prime Minister to please him and save his chair,” Rao alleged.
He charged that the Chief Minister had ignored meetings on the impact of El Nino even as Telangana faced severe power cuts, and accused him of “sacrificing the interests of Telangana people” by making repeated trips to Delhi with ministers to remain in Rahul Gandhi’s good books. Rao demanded that the government convene an all‑party meeting on the El Nino situation and seek suggestions from political parties and experts.
Asked about reports that his name was under consideration for the Hyderabad‑Ranga Reddy‑Mahabubnagar MLC seat, Rao declined to comment, saying he would not respond to “hypothetical questions.”
