BJP to Hold Grand ‘Tiranga Yatra’ at Tank Bund on August 14
Party workers were meeting freedom fighters’ and martyrs’ families.

Hyderabad:The BJP said it would organise a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ on Friday, eve of Independence Day on August 15, at Tank Bund as part of the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, urging citizens to hoist the National Flag at homes and celebrate Independence Day with patriotic fervour.
The Tiranga Rally at Tank Bund will be held from Dr B.R. Ambedkar statue near Telugu Talli Flyover to Swami Vivekananda statue, symbolising equality of all before the law, Constitution and inspire the youth. Before the rally, BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao, along with Union ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar will pray to Goddess Kanaka Durga.
Dr Mekala Shilpa Reddy, BJP Telangana Mahila Morcha president and Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra state executive convener, emphasised that ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ was a movement to instil patriotism in every heart. “The National Flag should not be limited to August 15 and January 26. “It must become part of daily life and a symbol of unity. This is PM Modi’s vision,” she said.
She said the BJP was conducting ‘Tiranga Yatras’ and rallies in every district and mandal, uniting all sections. Party workers were meeting freedom fighters’ and martyrs’ families.
Senior leaders including Rajya Sabha MP Dr K. Laxman party MPs, MLAs, MLCs, ex-servicemen, sportspersons, Padma awardees, film personalities and social organizations will take part in Tiranga Rally. Shilpa Reddy appealed to all to turn up in large numbers.
