Hyderabad:The BJP in Telangana has launched early preparations for municipal elections, mirroring its strategy in recent MLC polls. Leaders are touring the state, holding meetings, and collecting applications from aspirants.

Union minister Bandi Sanjay kicked off the campaign in Sircilla, attacking BRS and Congress. He promised central funds and predicted saffron flags would flutter in Hyderabad and Karimnagar corporations.

In Shadnagar, BJP vice‑president D.K. Aruna announced applications from 28 wards will be accepted until January 16, with candidates chosen on winnability. She urged voters to support “double‑engine governance.”

In Mudhol, BJP legislators felicitated newly elected local representatives, with MPs Etala Rajender, Godam Nagesh, and MLAs A. Maheshwar Reddy and Payal Shankar among those present.
