BJP State Chief Recalls Party Won 1 of Its 2 Seats from Warangal in 1984
The state president’s visit began with a grand bike rally with saffron flags. After the rally, Ramchander Rao visited Bhadrakali temple and performed special prayers. Warangal: The BJP and Warangal district have a deep emotional and historic connection, said BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao during his visit to the district on Thursday. Addressing party workers at a private function hall, Ramchander recalled that in 1984 when the BJP held only two Lok Sabha seats, one of those seats was won by Janga Reddy from Warangal.
The state president’s visit began with a grand bike rally with saffron flags. After the rally, Ramchander Rao visited Bhadrakali temple and performed special prayers. He described the visit as a source of spiritual strength for the party’s growth in Telangana, and was confident that the party’s momentum in the state would accelerate.
He alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s administration was primarily focused on selling government lands rather than public welfare and claimed that the state government failed to implement the promises made during the elections and is instead looking for a way to liquidate public assets.
The BJP leader was disappointed with the recent Assembly sessions stating that they failed to host any meaningful discussions on public issues. He asserted that all recent development in Warangal was made possible only through Central Government funds, accusing both the previous BRS and current Congress governments of neglecting the city’s growth. Ramchander Rao urged the people to support BJP candidates in the municipal elections, arguing that genuine development is only possible by a visionary BJP.
Former MLAs Marthineni Dharma Rao and Aroori Ramesh, Warangal Urban Co-operative bank chairman and BJP state leader Errabelli Pradeep Rao, former MP Seetharam Naik. Ganta Ravi Kumar, Rao Padma Reddy and Santosh Reddy were among those who were present along with others.
