Nizamabad: BJP leaders conduct the Gaon Chalo, Basti Chalo campaign across rural and urban areas of Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts on Sunday as part of the party’s nationwide outreach marking its 45th foundation year.
BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri, Nizamabad Urban MLA Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta, Armoor MLA Paidi Rakesh Reddy, and other senior leaders participated in the campaign within their respective Assembly segments. As part of the initiative, leaders visited villages and bastis to interact with residents and raise awareness about the developmental activities undertaken by the Narendra Modi-led central government. Pamphlets highlighting Central welfare schemes and infrastructure projects were distributed to the public. Leaders also paid tributes to Dr B.R. Ambedkar by offering milk to his statues in various locations ahead of his birth anniversary on April 14.
During the programme, BJP leaders criticised the Congress, accusing it of having historically humiliated Ambedkar. Slogans in support of Ambedkar and the BJP government were raised during the campaign events.
