BJP Leaders File Complaint Against Anchor Anasuya Bharadwaj

Hyderabad: Popular actress and anchor Anasuya Bharadwaj is in the dock again after local BJP leaders lodged a complaint against her at the Borabanda Police Station recently. In their complaint, the saffron party leaders alleged that Anasuya made inappropriate remarks about the Hindu religion. They said her comments had hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus and expressed strong anger over the issue.

The BJP leaders also warned Anasuya to be cautious while speaking on social media. They demanded legal action against her for hurting Hindu sentiments.

Anasuya had recently made sensational comments alleging that some people were indulging in attacks in the name of ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Responding to the police case, Anasuya said she would not back down. She also released a statement on her social media page stating that some people were deliberately misinterpreting her words and creating a completely different narrative. Anasuya clarified that what she spoke about was only a particular set of people, and it was not said to target any religion, any community, or any faith.

Police have registered the complaint and are looking into the matter.
