BJP Gears Up For Municipal Poll Onslaught With MLC Lessons

"Choose strong candidates together. Support whoever we pick. The lotus symbol is at stake. We must win with honour": MP Aruna

HYDERABAD: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana has intensified its groundwork for the upcoming GHMC elections, capitalising on recent MLC poll successes where razor-sharp booth strategies delivered two crucial wins.

Emboldened by prior GHMC advances, the party has escalated pressure on the State Election Commission to rectify flaws in the statewide draft voter rolls. By documenting cross-ward voter misplacements, the BJP wants to fix the shortfalls of recent panchayat polls and guarantee fair presence in municipal battlegrounds.

According to a senior BJP leader, fielding dynamic youth, amplifying Prime Minister Narendra Modi's impartial development largesse, and unleashing sustained grassroots assaults form the party's core playbook.

At Mahabubnagar BJP office, the party national vice-president and party MP Aruna set the tone. She told workers: "Start now. Check voter lists. Report errors to officials. Explain Modi's welfare schemes door-to-door. Central funds aid rural and urban growth. Use them as key points."

She stressed team work and ward-level duties. She called for regular municipal meetings. Aruna said: "Choose strong candidates together. Support whoever we pick. The lotus symbol is at stake. We must win with honour."

Allaying fears of minorities, she said "Modi rules for all, sans prejudice — beckon leaders to join and contest under BJP." She also sent a caution by stating that "family feuds are hurting the party? Youth and thinkers back us” and asked party leaders to ramp up field work till the party gets victory at the state level and crushes graft.

In Malkajgiri, party MP Etala Rajendar galvanised ranks by asking them to mould the party into an unstoppable juggernaut with a message to eradicate group fissures.

He gave a roadmap by asking leaders to nominate ironclad contenders, knit caste synergies, ignite victory fervour, rattle foes, and absorb heavyweight switchovers. He asked the party local leaders to welcome defectors with open arms and asked them to axe factions.
