BJP Calls For New Dept For Telangana’s Gulf Expatriates

Hyderabad: BJP floor leader Alleti Maheshwar Reddy on Monday asked the state government to establish a special department for Telangana workers employed in the Gulf countries. Speaking during Zero Hour in the Assembly, he said the workers were facing numerous difficulties.
He also stated that funds were not being released for the ‘Mana Ooru-Mana Badi’ scheme, and that the promises made to Telangana movement activists had not been fulfilled. Maheshwar Reddy asked the government to release pending scholarships and fee reimbursement arrears immediately. He also appealed to the government to review discrepancies in the number of voters in some divisions during the GHMC reorganisation.
CPI MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao raised several questions regarding Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) and alleged that there was widespread dissatisfaction among its workers.
He requested that a meeting be arranged under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, with ministers and representatives, to discuss and resolve these issues. Otherwise, he warned that Singareni might completely disappear and be privatized.
Jubilee Hills MLA V. Naveen Yadav, in his maiden address spoke about public issues. Naveen Yadav said that Krishnanagar gets flooded during rains, causing difficulties for the people. He stated that residents of Jubilee Hills are facing problems due to high-tension power lines, and that dozens of deaths have occurred. He also sought a junior and a degree college in the constituency.
