BJP Burns Rahul Gandhi Effigy in Hanamkonda
Padma Reddy asserted that the BJP would continue its campaign against what she described as the Congress party’s “undemocratic policies"

Hanamkonda: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Hanamkonda district unit staged a protest at Ashoka Chowrasta on Wednesday against the Congress demonstration near the Prime Minister’s residence in New Delhi and burnt an effigy of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Addressing the gathering, BJP state leader Rao Padma Reddy alleged that the Congress was indulging in “anarchic politics” and accused the party of adopting double standards while in power and in the Opposition.
She alleged that the Telangana government had failed to address pending fee reimbursement dues affecting students and questioned the Congress leadership for organising protests in New Delhi instead of resolving issues in the state.
Padma Reddy further said it was inappropriate for Congress leaders to stage demonstrations outside the Prime Minister’s residence while, according to her, neglecting public issues in Telangana. She asserted that the BJP would continue its campaign against what she described as the Congress party’s “undemocratic policies.”
Hanamkonda BJP district president Kolanu Santosh Reddy and several party leaders and workers participated in the protest.
