Bhu Bharati will Save Land of Farmers: Ponguleti

Bhu Bharati scheme to be implemented in 28 mandals of 28 districts in phases

Hyderabad: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Sunday said the Bhu Bharathi scheme would protect the land of farmers and will be implemented in 28 mandals — one mandal in each district from May 5 in a phased manner.

The minister also said the government would conduct revenue meetings in 28 mandals of 28 districts from May 5 to May 20 by implementing the Bhu Bharathi. The main purpose of these meetings is to receive applications from people on land issues in the respective mandals and resolve them. “Every collector must attend the revenue meetings and resolve doubts raised by farmers. The collectors will study issues and give a solution on land issues," the revenue minister said.

Srinivas Reddy said that thousands of farmers had faced tough times due to technical issues with the Dharani portal during the previous BRS government tenure. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had brought in the Bhu Bharati Act, determined to see happiness in the eyes of farmers by giving immediate solutions on their land issues.

The minister said that they would implement it successfully with the cooperation of people, public representatives and officials. In the previous government, there was no other way except to go to court on the land issue.
