Bhongir Residents Threaten to Lay Siege to MLA’s Camp Office Over Stray Dog, Monkey Menace

Nalgonda:Residents of different colonies in Bhongir municipality on Friday warned of laying siege to the camp office of Bhongir MLA Kumbhan Anil Kumar if steps were not taken to address the stray dog and monkey menace in the area.
They raised slogans during the protest, citing incidents of children being injured in stray dog attacks in colonies under the 35th ward of Bhongir municipality.
Speaking to the media, resident A.V. Ramana said residents were also facing problems caused by monkeys. Pigs were also roaming freely in colonies on the outskirts of the town, affecting sanitation in residential areas, he said.
Another resident, Racha Srinivas Reddy, said residents would mobilise thousands of people from different colonies and lay siege to the MLA’s camp office if measures were not taken to resolve the issue.
