Bhatti Vikram Arka Lays Stone For Community Kitchen In Surya pet District
Referring to statements by BRS leaders that their party would soon return to power: Reports

NALGONDA: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has said welfare schemes are not freebies but investments aimed at improving the financial condition of poor families and enabling them to contribute more to the state’s development.
He was speaking at Munagala in Suryapet district, where he laid the foundation for a state-of-the-art community kitchen along with irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Tuesday. The centralised kitchen is being supported with a `9.60-crore contribution from the Singareni Collieries.
Bhatti Vikramarka said the government was making investments in education and student welfare, with a focus on nutrition, quality schooling and modern infrastructure for children from rural and economically weaker families.
The community kitchen, he said, would provide breakfast daily to nearly 60,000 students studying in 1,029 government schools and junior colleges across the district.
Bhatti Vikramarka rejected the criticism by BRS leaders that welfare schemes would make people dependent. Every government measure should contribute to people’s development and welfare schemes should be viewed as investments in the financial development of poor families.

He alleged that the BRS government had pushed Telangana into debt during its 10-year tenure despite the state being among the richest in the country.

The two ministers inspected the construction of the `200-crore Young India Integrated Residential School at Gaddipalli and reviewed the progress of works.
Bhatti Vikramarka directed officials and the executing agency to prepare a detailed week-wise construction calendar and complete the school building before the next academic year so that admissions could begin as planned. He directed the district administration to closely monitor progress against the construction schedule.
The ministers also inspected the Pulichinthala project in Chinthalapalem mandal and held a review meeting with TSGENCO officials
