Bhatti Unveils TG’s Three-Pronged Plan to Boost Jobs for Youth

In-charge district collector Dr P. Srija added that 100 private companies at the mela would recruit some 5,000 candidates.

Nalgonda: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Monday inaugurated a job mela at Reddy Gardens in Madhira, Khammam district, detailing the state government’s three-pronged strategy to boost employment for youth who had rallied during the Telangana movement.

He recalled that “jobs” was among the movement’s pioneering slogans, citing youth demands for fair recruitment. “The previous government failed to honour its promise to fill all vacancies,” he said. “Since taking office, the Congress government has strengthened the Telangana State Public Service Commission to ensure error-free recruitments.” A jobs calendar was issued and 56,000 posts filled within a year, with another 30,000 vacancies slated for recruitment soon.

As the second pillar of the plan, Bhatti highlighted infrastructure upgrades — especially in Hyderabad — to attract multinational investments capable of generating lakhs of new jobs. The third element is the Rs 9,000-crore Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme, which will extend financial assistance to unemployed youth for establishing self-employment ventures.

He urged students to leverage government and private job melas as career launchpads, stressing that empowered youth are vital to the state’s GDP growth and social health. To bolster skill development, 65 Industrial Training Institutes have been upgraded into Advanced Technology Centres. Additionally, Rs 11,600 crore has been sanctioned to set up 60 Young India International Schools, while government schools are being modernised.

In-charge district collector Dr P. Srija added that 100 private companies at the mela would recruit some 5,000 candidates.
